works in many areas to
promote the sport
and protect the interests of members.

Benefits of WAWSA membership
- Discount on ski equipment from participating water sports
stores.
- The ski area at Burswood is for the exclusive use of Water
Ski Association members.
- The slalom course and jump are maintained by the Herrison
Island Water Ski Club. Regular users of this area must join
the Herrison Island Water Ski Club.
- The barefoot ski area at Ascot is for the exclusive use of
Water Ski Association members who are also members of the Barefoot
Club.
- Coach courses in any division
- Use of country ski areas, subject to local rules.
- Included in your membership is a $10 million Legal Liability
Insurance, which covers you when skiing in an event sanctioned
by the West Australian Water Ski Association.
- Personal accident insurance (SportsCover Amateur Sports Injury
Insurance Program).

| The
main aims of WAWSA:
- To promote water skiing as a safe family sport.
- To increase the number of water skiing areas, preserve
existing areas and improve boat launching facilities.
- To be a central body that represents water skiers with
Government and other authorities, including the Department
of Transport, Ministry of Sport and Recreation, the Aquatic
Council and the WA Sports Federation for financial assistance
with coaching clinics, training schools and state team
travel, and for liaison with other river users.
- To promote the competitive divisions of water skiing
- Barefoot, Disabled, Tournament, Show Skiing and Wake
Boarding.
